An interpretive statement is intended to provide guidance to licensees as to how the Board interprets laws or rules that govern the practice of dentistry and dental hygiene. They are not intended to be comprehensive or to set out exhaustively every standard that might apply in every circumstance. Interpretive statements are not enforceable as a law or rule but do set forth criteria that may be used by the Board should a disciplinary question arise.
